Are you an experienced and service minded procurement professional with strategic mindset who enjoys a fast-paced environment? If so, you can be our new Category Manager (Procurement) on our location in Grodzisk Mazowiecki, Poland or Nordborg DK, becoming part of a team of dedicated colleagues.

In this role you will build and execute category strategy and develop supplier relationships. Cooperating with suppliers and internal stakeholder is essential, as you need to build and develop strong and mutual beneficial partnerships to fulfill the overall procurement targets: cost optimization, bringing the value, contractual compliance. Moreover, you will manage cross-functional projects, lead negotiations of contracts, and at the same time continuously look for new ways for Danfoss to optimize how we do procurement.

You will become part of a team of highly skilled and committed colleagues working closely together and sparring with each other about processes, each being responsible for different product categories and placed at various locations. Amount of travelling will depend on your location.

Job Responsibilities

  • Lead implementation of the sourcing strategy for Electrical and Electronic components and products in the Region
  • Facilitate cost-down activities and workshops within your area of responsibility
  • Secure close cooperation with the central Danfoss Procurement team and Division top management
  • Support the Supplier Quality and Logistic teams with supplier development programs.

Background & Skills

  • Bachelors or master’s degree within Engineering or Commercial
  • Minimum 3 years of procurement related experience from a manufacturing industry environment
  • Strong experience with direct categories
  • Ability to understand technical drawings and specifications of purchased parts
  • High-level communication skills and experience in leading and participating in project teams within a matrix organization
  • Good negotiation skills
  • Experienced in stakeholder management

  • Goal-oriented and proactive
  • Analytical skills combined with advanced Excel skills
  • Drive to learn, meet challenges, and grow
  • Fluency in English language.
